A lot of people assume that in-person coaching is automatically better than virtual coaching. But the truth? In many cases, virtual coaching is just as effective—if not more effective—depending on your situation.

Why Virtual Coaching

For those who work remotely or present virtually, online coaching is a no-brainer. Why? Because it replicates your normal work environment. If you’re going to be giving presentations or running meetings over Zoom, doesn’t it make sense to practice in that same setting?

But even if you work in-person or in a hybrid setting, you can still get the same high-quality coaching virtually.

Here’s why:

  • Core speaking skills translate 100% online. Mindset work, impromptu speaking, assertive language, and storytelling are exactly the same whether we’re meeting in person or on a screen.
  • Real-time feedback is just as effective. I can see and hear everything I need to evaluate your pacing, tone, clarity, and presence.
  • You don’t need a physical classroom to build confidence. Confidence comes from skill development and practice—not from being in the same room as your coach.

The Only Difference: Evaluating Full-Body Language

If you only present while sitting down, then nothing changes between virtual and in-person coaching. But if you stand while presenting, we just need to make sure you have a space where I can see you clearly on camera. That’s it! I replicate your real-world speaking situation as closely as possible, so you get the feedback you need to refine your authentic speaking presence.

My Experience: Virtual Coaching Gets Results

I’ve worked with students both in-person and virtually, and I’ve seen firsthand that the skills translate seamlessly. My students gain confidence, improve their delivery, and get real-world results—whether we’re in the same room or on a screen.

The Bottom Line

Virtual coaching doesn’t just work—it works incredibly well. As long as you’re getting expert feedback, practicing effectively, and building the right skills, where you do it doesn’t matter. What matters is that you show up, do the work, and grow into the confident speaker you want to be!
