About us
Engineered To Empower
From engineer to etiquette coach, I help people overcome fear and speak with confidence through proven methods, global experience, and a passion for teaching.

The Queen City Etiquette Story
Unexpected Beginning
Just how does a chemical engineer become a public speaking coach and certified etiquette instructor?
By accident.
Like many people “good at math and science,” I followed the expected path and earned a chemical engineering degree from Carnegie Mellon University—even though I had always been drawn to teaching. I started my career in a corporate engineering role, where I discovered I had a knack for making complex scientific topics clear and relatable.

A Defining Moment
The turning point came in 2016 when I volunteered as an intern on a political campaign (possibly the oldest intern on record). When I successfully helped the candidate prepare for a televised debate, I realized I had a gift for helping people communicate with confidence.
That experience, along with the skills I had developed while homeschooling my children, sparked something new. I began coaching other candidates and individuals preparing for big moments, like business pitches or wedding toasts.
From Vision to Queen City Etiquette
Wanting to offer a more well-rounded approach, I earned my etiquette instructor certification from the American School of Protocol. Around the same time, I founded Queen City Etiquette to bring thoughtful, modern etiquette training to the Cincinnati area.
What started small has evolved into a business that supports professionals from a wide range of industries and backgrounds, including women in STEM and individuals who speak English as a second language. My unique background — corporate experience, etiquette and coaching certifications, and three years living overseas — helps me connect across cultures and career paths.
Helping others become confident, authentic communicators is more than my job, it’s my calling.
