Youth Program
The Youth Program offers classes for students ages 7-18. These classes are based on a proven curriculum that builds a student’s self confidence while they learn good manners, dining and communication skills. All classes are held in Montgomery, a suburb of Cincinnati, conveniently located close to I-71, I-275 and Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway.
If you are interested in a class, but unable to fit the current offering in your schedule, please sign up for the mailing list to be notified when the next classes are available. You can also contact Dina to set up private lessons.
Elementary Classes (Ages 7-12)
The Elementary Etiquette program is for children ages 7-12. In this five session class, students learn proper dining etiquette for casual and formal meals in both Zig-Zag (American) and Continental (European) style. There is also instruction on making introductions, including others in conversation, writing thank you notes, and phone etiquette. The session concludes with a formal tea. Class sizes are kept small for personalized instruction.
Classes for Teens (Grades 7-12)
In the full etiquette classes, students learn to incorporate proper etiquette into their everyday life:
- Appearance and posture
- Handling different and difficult situations
- Thank you notes
- Phone manners
- Electronic communication and social media
- Setting the table (formal and casual)
- Zig Zag and Continental styles of dining
Although separate classes are offered the material presented is almost identical. Girls will have the opportunity to practice walking in heals and boys will learn to tie a tie.
A 90 minute dining workshop is also offered for busy students who just want to learn dining etiquette. The workshop focuses on table manners and dining in the Zig Zag (American) style of dining in casual and formal situations.

Classes are hands-on and keep students active and engaged.
FAQ
What should my child wear to the etiquette classes?
Most classes are casual dress, although students are always welcome to dress up if they’d like! Dressy attire is requested for Friday’s high tea with the elementary and middle school classes. That’s a skirt, dress, or dress slacks for girls; a shirt with collar and nice pants, and a jacket if you have it, for boys.
High school students attending the Interviewing Skills Seminar are highly encouraged to wear something they own that they would consider “interview appropriate.”

Scout and Other Programs
Queen City Etiquette is happy to design an etiquette program to meet your group’s needs. The 90 minute “It’s a Manners Party” program meets all the requirements for Junior Girl Scouts to earn the “Social Butterfly” badge. There’s also a program for Brownie girl scouts to teach basic manners that can be used to prepare for selling cookies. Programs can also be designed to meet the badge requirements for American Heritage Girls and Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Dina draws on both her knowledge of etiquette and her 9 years of experience as a Girl Scout leader when designing and conducting these programs. Email her today at dina@qcetiquette.com to find out more how you can work together to bring an etiquette program to your group!

Interview Coaching
Interviewing is an opportunity for you to communicate your strengths and abilities. It shouldn’t be stressful. With coaching and practice, anyone can gain the confidence needed to do well in a job, scholarship, or college interview. Queen City Etiquette can help you or your child prepare for traditional and BEI (behavioral) interviews. You will learn how to make a great first impression and tips for interviewing in person and over Skype. Interview coaching combined with etiquette lessons can give your student an edge when attending an interview weekend at a university for special scholarship candidates.
